G&L Guitars Announces "30th Anniversary Collection"

By Blogger - Friday, November 12, 2010

In celebration of 30 years of fine instrument making, G&L is proud to announce the release of the 30th Anniversary Collection of instruments made in the historical G&L facility on Fender Avenue in Fullerton, California.

The year 1980 brought many significant events that still reverberate through our lives:
• Ronald Reagan was elected President of the United States
• Bill Gates licensed a computer operating system called MS-DOS to IBM
• The first fax machine and domestic camcorder were introduced in Japan
• The passing of John Lennon
• George Fullerton and Leo Fender founded G&L Musical Products

The G&L company was Leo Fender’s vision, an avenue for him to pioneer new ideas in guitar and bass design. At G&L, Leo's engineering brilliance rewarded musicians around the world, as he focused all the knowledge and experience he had gained in the prior thirty years to create, in his words, "the finest instruments I have ever made."

30 Years - The Pearl Anniversary
The official gemstone of the 30th anniversary is the pearl. In keeping with this tradition, the 30th Anniversary Collection brings together pearl aesthetic features to create a strikingly beautiful and sonically expressive series of instruments.
The 30th Anniversary F-100 and Legacy mark the debut of the G&L DFS Vibrato, which builds on the success of G&L’s Dual-Fulcrum vibrato with the inclusion of Stainless Steel saddles and a Cold Rolled Steel bridge block, all CNC machined from solid billet materials.

Celebrate a Special Moment in History

G&L has established a special place in history, thanks to Leo's brilliance, the experience and dedication of the G&L team, and to the passionate musicians all over the world who share the pioneering sprit of our founder. Be a part of the rich fabric of G&L history and let your hands, eyes and ears experience one of the truly spectacular G&L 30th Anniversary models.
