The best learning guitar is probably a guitar like a Washburn or a Fender that is not too expensive. You want a guitar that feels good in your hands and sounds the way you think it should sound. As a beginner you have to decide what type of style you want to learn.
Your first one should probably be an acoustic guitar unless you really want to learn solo electric then you should get an electric guitar. There are many software programs and DVDs and lesson books for learning guitar and you have to choose the right way for you because you have your own learning style.
